Why I Write

  1. I'm a terrible show-off.
  2. To make sense of it, or make it last.
  3. Because someone else might like it.
  4. Because I saw something and now I can't let it go.
  5. Because I don't like who I am when I don't.
  6. Because I'm not sure I know myself that well.
  7. Because it's fun.
  8. Because I can.
  9. Because the moments matter — they have to.
  10. Because I do not want to die.
